Help students and young people explore bats and take action for conservation

Users can contribute by uploading drawings, photos, or written material.. We also happily host video and conservation projects. Please contact us for help sharing videos and projects. We hope the opportunity to share ideas will encourage creativity and allow young people to explore different ways to voice their care and concern for bats and the environment.

Finally, we encourage users to record bat sightings. As bat populations decline, knowing how many there once were will inform management decisions. In addition, we believe that children of all ages need to go outside and explore the natural world. We hope to encourage bat watching as a way for families to explore the outdoors at dusk and dawn, when bats are active and visible.

In order to make this site as useful as possible, we welcome suggestions, likes, and dislikes from educators, parents, and users. Please let us know what you think by contacting us at info@virginiabats.org.

Please check back often as we will be adding resources and activities. Feel free to let us know about your favorites!

Thank you and happy batting.

Bats on the Web

The following websites have accurate and useful activities for children and feature a wealth of information about bats. Please consider supporting these organizations and agencies, as they are on the front lines of bat conservation and are working very hard to protect bats from WNS.
